Feminist debate lies beyond the social sciences in another sense. Its premises are not those of an incomplete project, an openness to the diversity of social experience that presents itself for description. It is a radical one to the extent that it must share with other radicalisms the premise that completion is undesirable. The way in which feminist scholarship organizes knowledge challenges the manner in which much of social science, including anthropology, also organizes knowledge. Then, a brief comment on the complexity of feminism is presented. Feminist organizations, sensitive to the particular interests of women, are sensitive to the interests of ethnic minorities and to the ethnicization of attributes such as sexuality. The problem of women was never just about women. The pluralism of anthropology allows a diversity of entries into the representation of human societies, thereby to some extent externalized from the observer. Feminism is admitted as one such entry.
