This chapter uses the surviving texts to identify the methods, sources, and agendas of the commentators who developed and shaped the transfer and exchange of Demonsthenes' orations. The discussion also aims to reconstruct the intended audiences of the commentators. This chapter concludes that future research on the texts examined may find new ways to connect the commentaries with the ancient readers who used them for a number of purposes.
