This chapter looks at the second excursion to Chkalovskiy, where the author continued the interviews with the victims' families, and presents an account of the interviews with the families of Aleksandra Chizhova, Timofiev T., and Dimitriy Vinogradov, as well as Dr. Yakov Klipnitzer's personal account of the outbreak. Next, it briefly considers the military development of anthrax vaccines. The chapter shows that the interviews revealed some information on the onset of the disease, the victims' exposure to anthrax, and the emergency ambulance service which brought some of the victims to Hospital 40.
