The epilogue to this study offers brief and general thoughts on the experience of Vietnamese Catholics during the era of the Vietnam War, both in the southern Republic of Vietnam and the northern Democratic Republic of Vietnam. It suggests that the cultural transformations and political conflicts that defined Vietnamese Catholic life during the colonial era in many ways continue to do so today.
